How to Add MIDI Out to a Suzuki Omnichord OM-100

The OM-100 and OM-200M are the same instrument — same PCB, same firmware, same ROM. Suzuki just didn't stuff the MIDI section. Two resistors, three ferrite beads, a DIN jack, and some careful work with a Dremel.

Cutting the Carbon: Rebuilding the Omnichord Strumplate

The Omnichord strumplate isn't a capacitive sensor, it's a bank of switches. Rebuilding it as a flex PCB, cutting the carbon into 12 sections so notes stop bleeding into each other, and an undocumented touchpoint hidden under the OM-84 faceplate whose traces go nowhere.
